ELISHA MEMORIAL CEMETERY - Rapides Parish

Directions: West on LA Hwy. 121, just past Hineston, turn left on LA Hwy. 112
(Union Hill Road).  Cemetery is located approximately 5.1 miles down this
road, on the left, in a sharp curve.  There is a large sign over the gate, and
the cemetery is well maintained.    An officer with the cemetery association 
indicated the land was donated by Rufus Brooks as a memorial to his father,
Elisha Brooks.  It is not private, and anyone who requests can reserve a plot
at no charge.  Tombstone inscriptions recorded by Mary Parker Partain, June
1990, and submitted by Jane Parker McManus
