Paige Cemetery, Rapides Parish Louisiana Submitted by Jane Parker McManus ********************************************** Copyright. According to the local residents, the Paige family moved away and abandoned the little cemetery long ago. The land was later sold, and a new house built. As there were no markers visible, the area became part of the front yard for the new owners, and the cemetery was lost forever. Although one resident of the area believes that before the land was sold to the present owner, some of the old tombstones were moved to another location, most of them agree that the burials are still hidden under the front yard and were never moved. This information is included for the benefit of anyone who may be searching for information on the Paige family. Information obtained by Mary Parker Partain November 1991, and submitted by Jane Parker McManus on 29 January 2000.
