This is known locally as the Hot Wells Road. Go 2.4 miles and turn right at an angle onto a narrow blacktop road (there is no sign). Cross Bayou Jean-de-Jean and go .2 miles up the hill to what is known as Red Store Hill. Turn right and on the immediate left is the Red Store Hill Cemetery. This small African American cemetery is old and unkempt, but not entirely abandoned. On several occasions there have been local residents who attempted to clear the areas of debris. There are many unmarked above-ground vaults, unreadable old funeral markers, and so many depressions that indicate lost graves, they will not be listed here. Tombstone inscriptions were recorded by Mary Parker Partain May 1990, and submitted by Jane Parker McManus on 22 January 2000. Samuel, Elmira - died 5 Mar 1931 Lowe, L. - died 28 Nov 1931, 50 yrs.
