ROBERT CEMETERY - RAPIDES PARISH

From MacArthur Drive in Alexandria, turn West on Bayou Rapides Road (LA
Hwy. 496), and continue for 12.4 miles.  These few burials are located on a
small hill right in the curve of the road on the right side.  It is not
visible from the road.  Although there were o nly 3 or 5 tombstones, there
were several obvious burial depressions that might indicate lost burials.
The property is well maintained and mowed.  The owner of this property in
1991 was Johnny Robert (a descendant of Daniel Robert), and he lives in the
house to the immediate right of the burial ground.  

Tombstone inscriptions were recorded by Mary Parker Partain 1991, and
submitted by Jane Parker McManus on 22 January 2000.

Memorial Marker:  "In memory of  Daniel Robert - 1785 / 1866
        Wives:  Sarah Griffin - died 1835 & Emily Jane Collier Robert -
