Seal October 18, 2001 Science Hill Cemetery is located in the southeast corner of Rapides Parish. Take U.S. Hwy 165 South from Glenmora, Louisiana, turn left and cross the railroad on Turkey Creek Road. Go about 1 mile, turn right on Evangeline Road, go about 4 miles to D Babb Road and Colony Road crossing. Turn left on D. Babb Road, go about 1/2 mile and turn right on Science Hill Cemetery Road. Go approximately 2 Miles to the end of road and the cemetery is on the right at the end. The cemetery is enclosed with a hurricane fence, with double gates at the entrance. An American Flag is on the Right side of the gate in recognition of the many veterans buried within. Science Hill Cemetery was established in the late 1800's where the settlers went to church and school, known as the Science Hill Schoolhouse and Church. A road from the Cypress Creek and Beaver Creek Community to Glenmora went in front of the schoolhouse. Most of the older graves were individuals who attended either church or school here, or were individuals from these communities. RIGHT SIDE OF GATE (Front to Rear) DALLAS H.
