From Wadley Street, turn right on Bayou Marie Road in Wardville Community, and continue on this street through Wardville until you go down a hill. Turn right on Clark Street, and go several blocks to the end of blacktop and continue on dirt road for about .2 miles to a locked pasture gate. Walk about a quarter mile through pasture to top of hill. To the left, you can see the vaults and tombstones, all painted white. In an area of about two acres, graves were scattered but there were no obvious depressions that could indicate lost graves. Some burials had concrete vaults while others had handmade cinderblock (similar to stepping-stones) markers on an upright concrete base). The area is clear of heavy brush with grass in the cemetery and the rest of the pasture about one foot high. Large oak trees covered with Spanish moss provided some shade from the hot sun. Inscriptions were recorded in order they were approached by Mary Parker Partain and Jack Fraziar, Jr., July 1993, and submitted by Jane P. McManus, July 2000.
