Directions:  This large African-American Cemetery is located on the right
approximately 7.0 miles south of Alexandria on US Hwy. 165.  A sign indicates
that the cemetery (not fenced, consisting of several acres) belongs to Mount
Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Alexandria.  Gravestones are scattered
throughout this area with as many as 100 unmarked depressions.  Most marked
graves have vaults or concrete slabs.  Inscriptions were recorded as approached
from the front of the cemetery by Mary Parker Partain, 1990, and submitted by
Jane McManus, July 2000.
