TAYLOR CEMETERY - RAPIDES PARISH

From Alexandria take LA Hwy. 28 West to Gardner.  Turn left (South) on LA
Hwy. 121 and go to Hineston.  Just past Hineston, turn left on Union Hill
Road (LA Hwy. 112), and continue for 5.1 miles.  Elisha Memorial Cemetery
is at this location.  About 1/4 mile from this cemetery, in dense forest
owned by a local lumber company, is the site of the Old Taylor family
graveyard.  One local resident who was interviewed, remembered there were
about a half dozen tombstones in this small family cemetery.  This was in
the early 1930's.  Today there is no sign of burials or tombstones or even
a fence to be found in the area.  The resident had no information on the
