Directions:  From the US Hwy. 167 overpass in downtown Alexandria, 
take LA Hwy. 1 toward Marksville.  Go approximately 9.3 miles, and 
turn left onto LA Hwy 457.  A short distance after the turn, the road 
turns sharply right and follows the river beside the levee toward Echo.  
About one mile after the turn onto Hwy. 457, you will approach an 
unfenced area on the left and a sign which reads "Timothy Baptist 
Church Cemetery."  Several vaults can be seen from the road.  A grass 
driveway divides the property in half, with a single row of vaults are 
on each side.  Burials are scattered in this narrow cemetery.  Inscriptions 
were recorded as approached from the front by Jane P. McManus & Mary Parker 
Partain, October 28, 1996.
