Turn left on Munson Road (past Bayou Bouef which crosses the highway at Lloyd Bridge). Union Chapel Baptist Church and Cemetery are near the highway. In addition to the burials listed here, there were many unmarked depressions in this area and at least 125 concrete slabs or vaults with no inscriptions or with information that was unreadable. We regret that we have so little information available on this historic cemetery. Tombstone inscriptions were recorded in rows from Munson Road to the highway by Mary Parker Partain, April 1993.
