The Baptist Church of Christ, Bethel met in conference. On motion Sister Sarah Johnson called for a letter of dismission and it was granted. On motion we called for one church letter from the Louisiana Association for the purpose of joining the Calcasieu Association on account of its convenience. On motion we appointed our delegates to the Louisiana Association. On motion Brother J. Strother and Brother L. Willis were appointed, and Brother D. Strother and P. Martin were appointed alternates. Done by order of the church in conference. D. H. Willis, Moderator, Solomon Strother, C.C. August 10, 1873. The Baptist Church of Christ, Bethel met in conference. Privileges of the church extended. Gibson W. Perkins, and ordained deacon and wife presented their letters from Good Hope Church and were received into the fellowship of the church. Also Nease Rorriguez, Sidney Coker and Frances Johnson were received as candidates for baptism. On motion the (church) reconsidered a former act and resolved to remain in the Louisiana Association. On motion delegates were appointed to the association. On motion G. W. Perkins, P. Willis, I. Perkins and L. Willis were appointed to go to the association. On motion adjourned. W. D. Godwin, Moderator. Solomon Strother, C.C. Sept. 13, 1873. The Baptist Church of Christ, Bethel met in conference. After divine services by the pastor of the church. On motion the committee that was appointed to see the brother that was in a confusion made their report, and their report was received by a majority of the church. On motion we called Brother W. D.
