Mayo, Mod. O. S. Willis, Clerk Sunday Sept. 27, 1896. Church met to adjournment. After devotional exercises conducted by Bros. G. N. and J. H. Strother, priviledges of the church were extended. One offered Sister Mary Draddy for baptism. On motion was received. We then took up a collection for Bro. J. O. Strother. No further business coming up, adjourned in order. G. N. Strother, Mod. O. S. Willis, Clerk Saturday Oct. 24, 1896. The Bethel Baptist Church met for business. The pastor being absent, on motion Bro. John Strother was elected Mod. pro tem. Minutes of the last meeting read and adopted with on amendment. The reference on Bro. E. H. Willis was taken up. On motion he was excluded. The case of Lazine Ashworth was taken up. On motion withdrew our Christmas fellowship from him. On motion the letter of the - (association) be read tomorrow. No further business coming up, adjourned in order. John Strother, Mod pro tem. One offered, Sister Linai Buxton, for baptism. On motion was received. On motion went into conference. Bro. J. O. Strother was elected moderator (pro tem) Took up a collection for minutes and mission and received $2.50. For minutes and 60 cents for mission. On motion the letter to the association was read and adopted with some amendments. Adjourned in order. J. O. Strother, Mod. pro tem Willie Strother, Clerk. Saturday November 21, 1896. Church met for business. The pastor being absent, after reading and prayer by Bro. John Strother, went into conference. On motion John Strother was appointed Moderator Pro. tem.
