After devotional exercises conducted by J. O. and G. N. Strother the priviledges of the church were extended. One offered, Ada Draddy doe baptism, and on motion was received. No further business coming up adjourned in order. J. H. Strother, Mod pro tem. Willie Strother, Clerk Saturday Jan. 22, 1897. Church met for business. After devotional exercises conducted by Bro. Mayo, the priviledges of the church were extended. None offered. Was announced in conference. Minutes of the last meeting read and adopted. Reference regarding our Pastor taken up and discussed. Peace of the church called for, in peace. On motion a charge was preferred against Bro. Washington Willis. Bro. Peter Perkins and Sister Ida Perkins were granted their letter of dismission. On motion Bro. Mayo appointed delegates to the Council meeting as follows: J.H. Strother, G. N. Strother and James Ware as delegates and Matthew Willis and Frank Perkins as alternates. After devotional exercises the priviledges the priviledges of the church were extended. One offered, Julia Edwards for baptism. On motion was received. We then adjourned to the water side were Bro. G. N. Strother baptized Sister Ada Draddy. Returned to the house where the the sister was received in full fellowship. On motion went into conference. On motion took up a collection for Bro. Mayo amounting to $35.45 in pledges and $2.45 in cash. On motion adjourned in order. A. D. Mayo, Mod. Willie Strother, Clerk Bethel Feb. 27, 1897. Church met for business. Devotional exercises conducted by Eld. L. M. Nichols. The priviledges of the church were extended. None offered. On motion Bro. Nichols was appointed Moderator pro tem. Minutes of the last meeting read and adopted. Bro. James Ware made Bro. Washington Willis acknowledgements. On motion the Brother was pardoned. Bro. James Ware then made Bro. Allen Draddy's acknowledgements for using profane language, and Sister Rebecca Strother's acknowledgements for participating in the ball room. On motion they were pardoned. A charge was preferred against Bro. Wm. Buxton for participating in the ball room. On motion was laid over until our next regular meeting. Adjourned in order. L. M. Nichols, Mod. pro tem.
