This cause came regularly on for hearing in open court, after previous fixing and all parties announcing ready for trial, the trial was proceeded with, argued and submitted to the court, and the law and the evidence being in favor othereof, - It is ordered, adjudged and decreed, that the rule herein sued out against R.E.Oden Tax Collector be and tha same is hereby made absolute. It is further ordered, adjudged and Decreed, that the following named persons are recognized as the sole heirs of Jim Johnson deceased, and sent into possession of the property belonging to his estate and hereinafter described,- the relationship of said persons, to , Jim Johnson deceased being shown as follows, to-wit: Mrs. Malissa Johnson, mother of the deceased, a resident of Pitkin, in Vernon Parish, La (1) Miss Narcissa Johnson, a femme sole, sister of the full blood of the deceased a resident of Pitkin, in Vernon Parish, La (2) Mrs Pashtie Doyle, wife of Aaron Doyle, a sister of the full blood of the deceased, and a resident of Elizabeth, in Allen Parish, La (3) Mr W.A.Johnson, a brother of full blood of the deceased, and a resident of Pitkin in Vernon Parish La (4) Mrs. Minerva Elizabeth Johnson, deceased wife of William Wilson, a sister of full blood of the deceased who is now dead, but who is survived by the following children, to-wit: 1- Mrs Annie Doyle, wife of Jim Doyle, and who resides near Glenmora in Rapides Parish, La 2- Albert Wilson, a resident of Oakdale, La 3- Mrs Mamie Wilson Johnson, wife of Willis Johnson, a resident near Bayou Chicot, in Evangeline Parish, La 4- Mrs Ziffey Daniels, wife of Tom Daniels, a resident of Pitkin in Vernon Parish, La (5) Mrs Pollyann Buxton, widow of Valentine Buxton, a sister of full blood, of Jim Johnson deceased, and a resident of Elizabeth, in Allen Parish, La (6) Silas Johnson, a resident of Oakdale in Allen Parish, La, a brother of full blood of the deceased (7) Mrs Loubencia Johnson Strother, a sister of full blood of the deceased, former wife of George L Strother, she now being deceased, but left the following children, to-wit: 1-Marvin Strother, a resident of Oakdale La 2-Marshall Strothe, a resident of Oakdale, La 3-Bessie Strother, a monor 4-Mitchell Strother, a minor 5-Minerva Strother, a minor 6-William Strother, a monor 7-Emma Strother, a minor 8-Alma Strother, a minor 9-Loubencia Strother, a minor, all residents of Oakdale in Allen Parish La and 10-Malissa Strother who was a femme sole at the time of the institution of this suit but who has departed this life intestate since the institution of this suit and since the death of Jim Johnson, and therefore her portion of the Estate of Jim Johnson is inherited by her sisters and brothers above named, and by her father George L Strother, a resident of Allen Parish, La. It is further Adjudged and Decreed, that the above named parties are recognized as the sole and only heir of Jim Johnson, as shown above, ans as such heirs they are hereby sent into possession of the following described property free from payment of any inheritance tax, to-wit: Northwest Quarter of Northwest Quarter of Section twenty-six (26) in township two (2) South, Range five (5) West Louisiana Meridian, containing Fory acres more or less. One Signer Sewing Machine, one bedstead and a lot of bedding and one shot gun. It is Further Ordered, Adjudged and Decreed, that the Sheriff of Alen Parish, Louisiana so sell all of the above described property, after due advertiement at public auction at the principal front door of the Court House in Oberlin, La. for cash, to the last and highest bidder, with the benefit of appraisement, as shown by the Inventory and appraisement thereof made on September 11th A.D. 1922 and filed herein on the same date. It is Further Ordered, Adjudged and Decreed that a Commission do issue from the Ofice of the Clerk of this Court, authorizing the commanding of the said sheriff to make the Public Sale herein above ordered. It is further Ordered, Adjusged and Decreed that from the proceeds derived from the sale of the above ordered, the said sheriff of Allen Parish, Louisiana, shall first pay all costs of this proceeding, second he shall pay the taxes assessed against said property for the year A.D. 1922, third he shall pay that certain Vendor's Lien Promissory note attached to the plaintiff's petition herein made payable to the order of William T Cantrell, for the principal sum of two hundred and fifty dollars ($250.00) bearing interest at the rate of 8% per annum from September 23rd, 1922 until paid. And the remainder of the funds derived from said sale, if any there be, shall be divided among the heirs of Jim Johnson according to law, and shall be paid by said Sheriff oer to said heirs, or to their attorneys of record herein. Judgment rendered, in open Court at Oberlin, La., on November 8th, A.D. 1922. Judgment read aloud and signed in open Court at Oberlin, La., on this the 10th day of November A.D. 1922.
