Hatch & Moore of the Parish of Rapides, State of Louisiana or their order, for seventy dollars, and eighty cents, with 8% per annum interest from Jany. 1st 1874, the said note being of even date and identified, herewith, and for the better securing the payment whereof. I have bargained and sold and delivered, and by these presents, bargain, sell and deliver into Mrss. Hatch & Moore, aforesaid, the following described property to wit: One Public improvement situated, fork of Mill Creek in the Parish of Vernon, State of Louisiana, the same to have and to hold unto themselves and their heirs and assigns forever. Provided nevertheless that when the said note, as above recited and identified herewith is fully & completely paid with all costs and interests, then and not till then, the said property to revert back to the said Thomas W. Stephens, but otherwise to remain the property of the said Hatch & Moore. In testimony whereof both parties herefrom and in confirmation hereof – sign these p---- in presence of Jas.
