All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** ============================================================================ The following is a transcription of the sale of land by Jessie Sallard Watson to Bud Arnold. ============================================================================ BE IT KNOWN, That on this, the 10, day of January A.D. 1947 Before me, Hazel Beebe, Notary Public in and for the Parish Of Rapides State of Louisiana, duly qualified in accordance with the law, personally came and appeared Jessie Salard Watson, born Salard, now the wife of William Aubrey Watson, and the said William Aubrey Watson, who appears herein individually and to authorize His said wife, A resident of the Parish of Rapides, State of Louisiana, who declared unto me, Notary, in the presence of the undersigned competent, witnesses, that for and in consideration of the price and sum of Two hundred, Thirty and no/100 ($230.00)----------Dollars, cash in hand paid, the reciept of which is hearby acknowledged they have bargained and sold, and do by these presents bargain, sell, transfer,convey, and deliver, with full warranty of title and subrogation to all rights and actions in warranty t? he he may have against former owners, and free from all encumbrances, unto Bud Arnold, a married man, whose wife is now living and who before marriage was Callie Edwards, A resident of the Parish of Rapides, State of Louisiana, here present, accepting and purchasing for himself, his heirs and assigns, and Acknowledging possession and delivery thereof, the following property, to-wit: A certain piece, parcel or tract of land, lying being and situated in Rapides Parish, Louisiana, and being more particularly described as follows: Being a triangle, bounded on the north by property of Mrs. Kate Dyer, on the East by the Cemetery Road, on the West by gravel road, and running to a point on the South, and being about three (3) acres more or less, in Section 3, Township Five North, Range Four West, being the property acquired by Millard Salard from Mrs. Eli Cleveland, by deed recorded Conveyance Book 268, Page 590; and acquired by these vendors from Millard Salard by deed dated October 14, 1943; together with all buildings and improvements theron situated rights, ways and privileges thereto belonging or appertaining To have and to hold said property unto said purchaser and unto his heirs and assigns forever. Certificate of mortages as required by law is waived and despensed with by the parties and all taxes due and exigible have been paid.
