Rapides Parish Police Jury Minutes, 5 September 1865

     Resolved, That the hands on Bayou Robert Road from Bayou Rapides to the
Cockburn Place inclusive, be place on the road leading from Alexandria to
General Bailey's, and that John W. Prescott be the Syndic (Justice of the
Peace to oversee road maintenance).  The folling persons were then appointed
Road Syndics, viz:

From Mrs. Loyd's to Cheneyville, Road District No. 1,

From Mrs. Loyd's (Loyd Hall) to Cheneyville, on opposite side of the Bayou,

From Cheneyville to lower line of the Parish (Avoyelles/Rapides Parish
