Dear Sir,
Replying to the letter on the reverse hereto, from the tone of
your letter you seem to think that I, have butted in tosometh
-ing [sic] that did not consern me, in that I, fully agree with
you and the only excuse I make is that I, permitted myself to be
perswaded to write you at first, and if you will excuse it the
time I, promis that it will not happen again, and would not
wrote this but thought that the folowing explnation neccessory
as to Capt; Calvit, who was a personal and close friend for 
over Forty years, and was a man of highest, and finest kind of
honor, but in this he was in some way imposed on Now as the Post
Master, I interviewd him, and he states that he was requested by 
Mr; Miqel a Justice of Peace to place any leters to that adress
in his box that comes from your office Now I, will state again
that thare is no Mrs; Anna Bass in this section of the country,
Now as to sending the Vouchers and checks by you I, haven't the
least objecksion, as I, stated above it is none of my buisness,
and as to playing the act of Decttive I, am not aspiring to that
line of buisness
