Dear Sir.
In regard to the application for pension by G.W. Bass. The Board
rejects with the remark, "Affidavits do not show that they 
served to the close of the war". I have tried twice to locate
Mr Bass in the service, but without success, his name has not 
been found as a member of any Company of the 4th Regiment of
Louisiana Cavalry.
