ETTA  Z. BARTON- Services for Etta Z. Barton will be at 1 PM today in 
St. Rita's Catholic Church with the Rev. Edmond Gagne officiating.  
Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park under the direction of Hixon 
Bros.

Mrs. Barton, 93, of 913 South St., died at 7am Wednesday in Heritage 
Manor Nursing Home North. 
She was a retired telephone operator for South Central Bell and a 
member of St. Rita's Catholic Church.  She was a native of St. Landry,
a former resident of Melder and a foster mother to approximately 30 
children in the past 15 years. 

Survivors include one son, G. C. Walker of Monroe; 14 grandchildren, 
22 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
