Mr. Carroll retired after 28 years of service from Cotton Brothers Bakery. After his retirement he worked for Cenla Camping Center. Mr. Carroll was a former member of Horseshoe Drive Baptist Church in Alexandria and was a team member of the La. Baptist Convention Disaster Relief Van. Mr. Carroll was a World War II U.S. Army Veteran and a member of First Baptist Church of Winnfield. He is survived by: One Son, Charles T. Carroll and wife Linda of Winnfield, La. One Sister, Ira Belle Tweedel of Opelousas One Brother, Mr. W. J. (Bill) Carroll of Opelousas, La. Three grandchildren: Scott, Jason and Matthew Mr. Carroll was preceded in death by: his wife: Esther Carroll; His parents: Thomas R. and Annie Carroll; Three brothers: Ray Carroll, Tom Carroll, and Homer Carrol; One sister: Ola Hidalgo. Friends may visit with the family in the Southern Funeral Home in Winnfield on Wednesday from 5PM until 9PM and on Thursday in the funeral home from 8:30AM until 12PM. Friends may also visit with the family at the First Baptist Church from 1PM until 2PM Thursday. Funeral services will be 2PM Thursday at First Baptist Church of Winnfield with Reverends Lindsey Burns and Bob Braley. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Pineville, Louisiana.
