CRUIKSHANK.-James A. Cruikshank, Jr., aged 26 years, died at the family residence, on Bayou Rapides, Rapides parish, La., on Monday morning, Oct. 18th 1897. The deceased was a son of Dr. James A. Cruikshank and Nally succumbed to continued fever, with which he had been prostrated for several weeks. His remains were interred yesterday in the family cemetery at McNutt's Hill. Additional Comments: Three members of the Cruikshank family died in the last three months of 1897: James, Jr., Dr. Cruikshanks would pass away in November, and in December, Dr. Cruikshank's daughter, Mattie Nixon would die as well.
