Edwin Charles Hebert, Confederate veteran and a prominent citizen of Alexandria, eighty-years old, died suddenly at his home in Alexandria on Tuesday night of last week. He was a native of Rapides parish but resided for a while at Garland, St. Landry parish. Mrs. Charles M. Kilpatrick, wife of a prominent Washington planter, is one of the daughters, who survive the old Confederate veteran. Additional Comments: NOTE: Edwin Charles Hebert's daughter mentioned in his obit is Cornelia Knox Hebert who was the second wife of Charles M. Kilpatrick. Cornelia is buried in California.
