Alexandria. - Mrs. Lucy Jarreau, aged 74 years, died suddenly at her residence in this city Suday (sic) night. In her passing there has gone from us a good woman, one who will be missed for her many kind deeds. Simple in her life, preferring the quiet domesticity of home and family, yet her sympathies ever responded to a tale of woe or a call for charity, and it can be truly said that the hungry never left her door and she gave them not.
