Lucy Sloan Jarreau

Mrs. Lucy Jarreau, of Alexandria, aged 74 years, died in that 
city August 16, 1914. She leaves many relatives and friends to 
mourn her death, which was sudden and unexpected. Miss Laura 
Huie was her only daughter, while she leaves four sons, H. M.
Huie and Rollo C. Jarreau, of Alexandria, La.; Groves Jarreau, 
of Dallas, Texas; Hunter Jarreau, of Chicago; and her devoted 
sister, Mrs. E. H. McCormick, of the Alexandria Town Talk.

Mrs. Lucy Jarreau Dead.

Alexandria. - Mrs. Lucy Jarreau, aged 74 years, died suddenly at 
her residence in this city Suday (sic) night. In her passing 
there has gone from us a good woman, one who will be missed for 
her many kind deeds. Simple in her life, preferring the quiet 
domesticity of home and family, yet her sympathies ever 
responded to a tale of woe or a call for charity, and it can 
be truly said that the hungry never left her door and she gave 
them not.
