He was a painting contractor for over 50 years and was a mem-ber of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pineville. He was also a Eucharist Minister for 28 years, ministering weekly to the shut-ins at nursing homes, hospitals, the parish and city jails. He is listed in the Congres-sional Record for his emergency work with ham radio communi-cations during Hurricane Au-drey. He was also instrumental in the space program, having designed an instrument used to detect radio signals for NASA. He was a clock maker and re-stored the life-like Statue of Christ at Mary Hill and also built the first television in Pineville.
