Creamer Date Submitted June 25, 2022 source: The Town Talk (Alexandria, Louisiana) 08 Jan. 1937, Friday, page 4 DIED - KRAMER - At the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Dan Jacobs, 2111 Albert street, Alexandria, La., at 12:30 o'clock p.m. on Friday, January 8, 1937, Philip L. Kramer, aged 51 years. Deceased was born and reared in Alexandria, being a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John B. Kramer, of this city. For several years, he was connected with the Rapides Bank and the old First National Bank and later he was local manager of Swift & Company. For the past twenty years, however, he has been a resident of New Orleans, where he was manager of the Louisiana House of the Blind and the John Denning Wholesale Broom Supply Establishment. He is survived by one son, Philip Oertling Kramer, of Jennings, and two daughters, Misses Gretchen and Claire Kramer of New Orleans. He also leaves the following brothers and sisters: Casper P. Kramer, Sr., Michel R. Kramer, of Alexandria; John B. Kramer of New Orleans; Mrs. Dan Jacobs and Mrs. Josephine Haynes, of Alexandria; Mrs. M.A. Quilty and Mrs. C.E. Chavanne of Lake Charles, and Mrs. Warren Oertling of New Orleans. Deceased had been ill at the home of his sister here for nine weeks. His funeral will be at 3 o'clock tomorrow, Saturday afternoon. The procession will leave the Kramer Funeral Home at that hour and go to St. Francis Xavier's Cathedral, where services will be conducted, after which interment will be made in Greenwood Memorial Park.
