Heard L. Melder 
Heard L. Melder 70, of Elmer died at 11 p.m. Wednesday in St. Frances 
Cabrini Hospital. He was a native of Glenmora. 
He is survived by his wife. Mrs. Orelia (Aurelia Frances Andries) Melder of 
Elmer, five sons. L.L. Melder of Oakdale, LA Melder, Leon Melder, Larry  
Melder and Leo Melder, all of Elmer, two daughters Mrs. murray Johnson of 
Elmer and Mr. Pat Benton of Houston, Tex., one brother, Raymond Melder of 
Elmer, four sisters, Mrs. Allen Monroe of Glenmora, Mrs. Harry Santee of  
Delaware, Ohio. Mrs. Jimmy Neal of Forest Hill and Mrs. T. Pobte pouche of  
Lake Charles. 27 Grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.  
Funeral service were held at 11 a.m. today in St. Peters Catholic Church at  
Elmer. Rev. A.B. Pearce officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery under  
direction of Rush Funeral Home of Oakdale.
