Huntsville, Texas - Graveside services for J.A. Monroe will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Black Jack Cemetery, Walker County, TX with the Revs. Frank Robinson and Bob Hunt officiating. Burial under the direction of Huntsville Funeral Home. Monroe, 63, of Huntsville died Wednesday in Huntsville. He is a native of Glenmora, LA and an electrical engineer for Louisiana-Pacific Corp. for more than 25 years. He was a resident of Walker County for more than 20 years. Survivors include his wife, Opal Clark Monroe of Huntsville, two sons, Scott Monroe of Lumberton and Don Monroe of Lake Jackson; two daughters, Debbie Paulsel and DeAnn Steely, both of Huntsville; two sisters, LaMerel Rhame of Hankamer and Eunice Daniel of Pearland; three brothers, Archie Monroe of Naples, FL, Bennie Monroe of Lake Charles, LA and Ottis Monroe of Lecompte, LA and eight grandchildren. Memorials may be made to M.D. Anderson Cancer Clinic, 1515 Holcombe Blvd., Houston, Texas.
