In Pineville, La. on Sunday, Aug. 22, 1897 at 12 M o'clock, Thelma Christina DAHMEN, aged 10 months, daughter of F. W. DAHMEN and Sarah J. EDGAR. The funeral took place this afternoon at 2 o'clock, the procession leaving the residence of Mr. Louis SCHAEDEL in Pineville and proceeding to the Rapides Cemetery to inter the little one. --------------------------------------------------------------------- DAWSON, ROSA S. Alexandria Weekly Town Talk, 20 Sep 1884. Died in this parish, Thursday, Sept. 11th, 1884, Rosa S. Dawson, aged 11 years, daughter of Jno. H. Dawson. --------------------------------------------------------------------- DUCHESNE, MRS. Alexandria Town Talk Weekly, 7 Feb 1885. A Mrs. Duchesne died on last Sunday morning at Marksville. She arrived there sick, en route with her husband and family from the parish of Vermillion to her former home in Caldwell parish. They reached Marksville in very destitute circumstances. To the credit of the citizens of this place, let it be said that they have contributed liberally to the comfort of this family. --------------------------------------------------------------------- DUKE, HARRIET M. LECKIE Alexandria Weekly Town Talk; 19 July 1884. Died on Friday night, July 11th, 1184, at Alexandria, La., Harriet M. Leckie, wife of B. C. Duke. The funeral took place Saturday at 4 o'clock, the procession moving at that hour from the family residence to St. James' Episcopal Church, and from thence to the Episcopal Cemetery in Pineville. To the husband of deceased, her children, and relatives we extend our sincere condolence, in the great loss they have sustained. --------------------------------------------------------------------- obE-1800 ELLIS, HUSTIN Alexandria Weekly Town Talk, 16 Feb 1884 Fatal Accident. - Last Tuesday (Feb. 5th) two men named Hustin Ellis and Josh Duplissa, who were cutting timber on Cocodric Lake, this parish, met with an accident, which was fatal to the one named Ellis. It seems that they were rowing a skift along the shore of the lake, when Duplissa who happened to look up, saw that a large tree was about to fall upon them. He screamed out the danger. and at once jumped out of the boat into the water,thereby escaping death and receiving ony slight wounds. Ellis was not quick enough and the tree fell on him killing him instantly. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- obF-1800 FRACHTLING, S.J. CHITTENDEN, MRS. Alexandria Weekly Town Talk, 6 Sep 1884. Frachtling - On Tuesday morning, Sept. 2, 1884, at 10 o'clock, Mrs. S. J. Frachtling, daughter of the late James Chittenden, Sr., aged 28 years, a native of New Orleans, wife of Bernard L. Frachtling. The funeral took place at 10 o'clock last Wednesday morning. --------------------------------------------------------------------- FRITZ, MRS. Alexandria Weekly Town Talk, 5 Jan 1884 Mrs. Fritz, of Pineville, an old German woman, died last Tuesday night of Pneumonia.
