McCullough died at her home, Elmer, La., and was laid to rest in New Hope cemetery on September 2. She was born December 7, 1865, therefore being 61 years, 8 months and 7 days old. She was a member of New Hope church, having joined at the early age of fiften years. She was first married to Mr. J.M. Bounds, and to this union was born seven children, two of whom have gone before to welcome her at the beautiful gates. The surviving children are: J.W., J.M. and G.W. Bounds, Mrs. J.E. Dyess and Mrs. John Sanderson, all of Elmer, La. Her husband was called to that great beyond in his early manhood, leaving her the great battle of life with her little ones. She remained a widow for 30 years and in September was married to J.B. McCullough, who survives her. To him and to her children the sympathy of the community goes out to the fullest extent.
