Parker Services for Essie Tippit Parker will be at 2 p.m. today in the chapel of Hixson Bros., Pineville, with the Rev. W.D. Carson officiating. Burial will be in Welcome Cemetery, Simpson. Mrs. Parker, 73, of Ball died at 4:50 p.m. Tuesday in Rapides General Hospital. She was a native of Simpson and a member of Pinehurst Baptist Church, Ball. She was a birthright member of Nanesmond Indian Tribal Association, Chesapeake, VA. She was a member of Thomas Overton Moore United Daughters of the Confederacy, Alexandria. Survivors include her husband, Jason J. Parker of Ball; two daughters, Evelyn P. Moulder of Pineville and Jane McManus of Covington; three sisters, Pearl Cooley of Slagle, Necie Netherland of Leesville and Daisy Lawrence of Anacoco; two brothers, Marvin Tippit of Simpson and Jack Tippit of Leesville; six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
