Rexer, aged 48 years, died at his residence in this city at 8 pm Friday March 19th, 1895, after a protracted illness. The deceased was a native of Alexandria, and has lived here all his life. He was an estimable citizen, upright and honored in all the relations of his life and leaves a wife, five children, three sisters and many friends, who sincerelymourn his death. Notwithstanding a heavy rain which prevailed, a large concourse of relatives and sympathetic friends followed his remains to the Pineville Cemetery, where they were interred Saturday afternoon, Mrch 30th, in accordance with the rites of the Catholic Church, of which he had been a life long and consistent member. The Democrat condoles with the bereaved family in the greatest hour of affliction which could have befallen them.
