Judge Michael Ryan November 21, 1894 The Opelousas Courier (Opelousas, La.) 1852-1910, November 24, 1894, Image 1 Judge Michael Ryan, of Alexandria, father of Mrs. W. M. Thompson, of Opelousas, and of John C. Ryan, a leading lawyer of Alexandria, died on Nov. 21, aged 82. Judge Ryan was a native of Ireland, but came to Louisiana at an early age, and was for a long time a prominent figure in public affairs in this State, occupying several eminent positions of honor and trust. He was long a resident of Rapides and was highly esteemed for his sterling integrity, brilliant mind and noble heart. We tender our condolence to the bereaved family.
