Stevenson, 76, of Vidalia, who died Friday, May 12, 2006, at her residence were held Monday May 15, 2006 at the First Assembly of God, Vidalia, La. with the Rev. Albert D. Fraley and the Rev. Norman E. Hartshorn officiating. Burial was at Bethel Cemetery Deville, La. Mrs. Stevenson was born Sept. 13, 1929 in Jena, La., the daughter of Carroll Bill Spikes and Gladys Wilson Spikes. She was a member of First Assembly of God in Vidalia, La. She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Rawleigh Martin Stevenson; her parents, J.M. and Gladys Sandifer and Carroll Bill Spikes; and her sister, Glynn Dale McDaniels. Survivors include her sons, Ronnie Stevenson and his wife, Sissy, of Chatham, Don Stevenson and his wife Peggy of Brandon; her daughter, Joyce Champion and her husband, Larry, of Vidalia; her grandsons, Tim Champion and his wife, Allison, of Ozark, Mo., Bo Champion and his fiance, Alisha Bradshaw, of Ridgecrest, La.; granddaughters Tonya Bryant and her husband, Joe, of Deville, Kim Barnes and her husband, Shawn, of Heber Springs, Ark., Patti Kuhn and her husband, Bobby, of Richland, Ms. Great-grandchildren, Hayden Champion, Hailey Champion, Claire Champion, Rawleigh Champion Nic Kuhn, Maria Barnes, Jacob Barnes, Gracee Bryant, Bailee Bryant; brother, Joe Sandifer of Tyler, Tex.; and eight step-brothers and step-sisters. Pall Bearers will be Ellis Crooks, Mickey Howard, Doyle Stevenson, Wayne Martin, Matt Champion and Tommy Lanius. Honorary pallbearers will be Leland Sturgis, Charles Bowman, Sidney Champion III, Sidney Champion Jr. and Hayden Champion.
