Walker, Sr 62, above, a lifetime resident of Pineville, died suddenly at 7:45 P M yesterday, Feb 7, 1952. Mr. Walker was driving down Reagan Street in Pineville when he apparently had a heart attck, lost control of his car and crashed into a concrte street marker. When passers-by reached him he was apparenatly dead but he was tken by ambulance to a local hsopital where he was pronounce dead. Officer Perry of the Pineville police department investigated the accident. Mr. Walker, known as "Bob" was born May 2, 1889, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Alphonse Walker. He was employed by Webb and Bill Auto Electric Store in Pineville and for over 25 years was machinist for Southern Bus Lines. Survisors include his wife, Mrs. Katie O'Neal Walker, two sons, Ray A and Henry A Walker, Jr both o Pineville, one daughter Mrs. Flora McCleave, five grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Mae Duke and Mrs. Josephine Lahelf (sic) of Pineville and a numbe of nieces and nepheews. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb 9, 1952 in the Hixson Chapel, Interment will be in the Greenwood Memorial Park.
