Alexandria Daily Town Talk (clipping did not have date) death date 
5/22/1895

AERTKER - At the family residence near Alexandria, La on Wednesday
morning May 22, 1895 at 3 o'clock Ida, wife of Henry Aertker born 
Walker.  The deceased was ill only a few days and her death was 
unexpected.  The funeral took place this Wednesday afternoon at 
3:30 o'clock, the procession going fromth famiy residence to the 
Catholic Church and from thence to Rapides Cemetery in Pineville. 

The bereaved husband has the sincere sympathy of the entie community
in the great affliction that has overtaken him.

Floreda Varick note:  Ida was named Heida - both names were used. 
She was the daughter of Gottlieb Walker and Annie Smith, both German
Immigrants.  She married Henry Aertker Feb 7, 1887.  She was survived
by four children: Victor, Annie, Henry, Rosalie
