ASHBY WILKINSON DIES OF MEASLES IN ALEXANDRIA Mrs. Ashby Wikinson died at her home in Alexandria on Monday of this week. Her death was caused by measles, and three of the six small children who survive her are now infected with the same disease. Mrs. Wilkinson was 37 years of age. The deceased lady was born and reared at Garland, this parish, but has been a resident of Alexandria since her marriage. She has many prominent relatives in this parish, being a niece of Mr. James Roberts, our esteemed fellow-citizen. She was before her marriage Miss Amanda Bentley - a child of Mr. Robert's deceased sister. Mrs. Wilkinson's husband also survives her, is a nephew of Col. Theodore Wilkinson, who sought the democratic nimination for governor in 1908. Her body was brought to Garland for interment on the day following her death.
