Johann Baptiste Kramer emigrated 1852 from Fischerbach, Baden, Germany.

In 1860 he is married with wife 1 and a son, living in Alexandria,
Rapides Parish. A daughter was born, and then his wife and son died of
Yellow Fever in about 1868, and he remarried 1869 and had 10 more
children.

In 1875 he established The Kramer Funeral Home in the city which is
still family operated today.
