Given under my hand and the seal of Office, as Clerk of the District Court, in and for the Parish of Rapides, the 27th day of February A.D. 1869 O. K. Hawley, Clerk STATE OF LOUISIANA PARISH OF RAPIDES Be it Remembered, That on the 14th day of March 1869 Mr. Henry Strother and M. Malissa Conly personally appeared before me the undersigned Justice of the Peace in and for the Parish of Rapides, together with A.S. Droddy And William Strother all witnesses of full age, and resident in the said Parish, and that then and there said Mr. Henry Strother and M. Milissa Conly having produced the License required by Law, signified their desire and intention, before us the said Justice and witnesses, to be sealed in the State of Matrimony. Whereupon, after due proclamation made, and no impediment being suggested, they, the said Mr. Henry Strother and M. Malissa Conly were by me, the said Justice in the presence of the said witnesses, JOINED IN WEDLOCK, according to the Laws of the State of Louisiana, and by me, the said Justice duly pronounced to be Husband and Wife. In Testimony Whereof, The Parties to the said Marriage hereunto affix their signatures together with me the said Justice and the aforesaid witnesses, on this 14th day of March 1869, at John Strother in the Parish aforesaid. (Book 19 page 72, continued) STATE OF LOUISIANA} PARISH OF RAPIDES } Know all men by these presents, That we Henry Z Strother as principal, and John Strother as security, are held and firmly bound unto the Governor of the State of Louisiana, in the sum of Five Hundred Dollars, for the payment of which we bind ourselves, our heirs, executors and administrators, jointly and severally by these presents. Dated at Alexandria, the 27th day of February A.D. 1869. Whereas, a license has been this day issued by the Clerk of the District Court in and for the Parish of Rapides, to unite in the BOND OF MATRIMONY, the above bound, Mr. Henry Z. Strother and Miss Mary Ann Conly. Now Therefore, the condition of the above obligation is such, that if there should exist no legal impediment to this alliance, then the said obligation to be null and void, else to re- main in full force and virtue.
