Alexandria Town Talk Weekly Succession Sale.Succession of Ralph S. Smith. No. 433. Probate Docket, District Court, Rapides Parish, Louisiana. Pursuant to a commission and order of sale, issued by the Honorable. the Twelfth Judicial District Court, in and for the Parish and State aforesaid, commanding me as executor and ex-officio auctioner, to sell for the payment of debts, for cash, and in accordance with law the hereinafter described property, I shall offer for sale, at public auction, at the Waverly Plantation, in the aforesaid Parish and State, between the hours prescribed by law, on Saturday, the 23rd day of May, A.D., 1885; The following described property, to-wit: A certain plantation known as the Waverly Plantation, situated on Bayou Boeuf, in this Parish and State, bounded above by lands known as the Helm place, below by Mrs. Ford, and in the rear by the L. Tanner place, and containing about Fifteen Hundred acres of land, together with sugar mill, machinery and appurtenances, and all other improvements thereon. Also about Eleven Hundred and Twenty acres of swamp land, described as follows, to-wit: Fractional section No. 18, Township 1, S. R. 2 E., south-western District of Louisiana, bounded on the North, East and West by lands lately owned by T.B. Helm, deceased, and south by land lately owned by Estate of L. Tanner, and containing Eighty-Three 94-100 acres. Section No. 20, Township 1 S.R. 2 E., south-western District of Louisiana, and containing Six Hundred and Forty-one and 67-100 acres. The North half of Section No. 21, Township 1 S.R. 2 E., south-western District of Louisiana, containing Three Hundred and Nineteen and 88-100 acres. The South half of the South-western quarter of Section No. 11, Township 1, S.R. 2 E., south-western District of Louisiana, containing Seventy-Nine and 82-100 acres. The three last described tracts are bounded on the North by land of J.H. Audibert, M.R. Marshall, ___Bank, Havard, Mrs. Boyd and Miss Wright; East by J.H. Audibert; West by Mrs. Boyd and Miss Wright and south by land of parties unknown. Also twelve mules, one mare, two yoke of oxen, four cows and calves, one bull, six cane wagons, two timberwheels, two carts, one cultivator, two stuble shavers, thirty plows, one lot of gear and plantation tools.Terms - Cash, subject to appraisement.R.B.
