December 4, 1862      Know all men by these presents that I.W. A. MARTIN for 
and in consideration of the sum of $316 paid as follows. Three promissory 
notes for $105.333/3  each paid to me in hand receipt is hereby acknowledged.
1st note due 1st day June, 1882, 2nd note due  1 day Jan. 1883, 3rd note due 
1st day January, 1884. I.W.A. MARTIN have bargained and sold & by these 
presents do bargain and sell unto the said J. D. McGRAW a certain tract or 
parsel of land to wit: The East half of Section (11) eleven Except (4) four 
acres at the camp ground Township (14) fourteen of Range (9) nine West contain 
Three Hundred & sixteen acres more or less. To have and to hold said parsel of 
land together with all singular the hereidatements and appertainances thereto 
belonging or in any wise appertaining to the same unto the said J. D. McGRAW, 
his heirs executors and administrators and assigns and the said I. W. A. 
MARTIN  hereby warrants and defends the title after the taxes for three years 
is paid by said J. D. McGRAW or caused to be paid to the said tract or parsel 
of land against the claims of all persons whatsoever in testimony whereof the 
parties have hereunto set their hands and seals. Enterlined before sign. This 
July the 23rd A. D. 1880.
