Confederate Service Record
   WILLIAM "BILLY"  HUNTER, who lived in the area of what is now Red River 
Parish, enlisted as a Private  in Natchitoches on Aug. 20, 1962 in Company E, 
lst Louisiana Heavy Artillery. He was captured and released at Vicksburg, 
Miss. He is buried in Red River Parish.
