Confederate Service Record
   WILLIAM A. BOYLSTON, later of Coushatta, Red River Parish, served in the 
Confederacy in Company C Lousiana Ninth Regiment. He was wounded and captured 
at the Battle of Winchester in 1864, according to Louisiana Civil War 
Soldiers.  He returned  to Louisiana and began the study of medicine, which he 
completed.
