HENRY GRAY (1816-1892) came to Red River Parish from Mississippi. He formed GRAY'S 28th Louisiana Infantry in May, 1862. He fought in a number of battles and was wounded at Bayou Teche. He is buried at the Springville Cemetery in Coushatta, Red River, La.
