J. MANGHAM, S. P. CARROL, B. W. MARTON, MRS. EMILY SANDIFORD, J. W. MARSTON, and JOHN CRICHTON. FERRY ROUTE -- We the undersigned citizens of the town of Coushatta and vicinity respectfully represent that the public ferry across Red River at Coushatta has been unnecessarily moved a mmile down the river to the great inconvience of all public travel and great detriment to the town of Coushatta and those vitally interested. They aver that the contract for the said ferry was clearly for the ferry to be across the river in front of the town of Coushatta, and they pray that same be replaced to that point and kept there. Respectfully submitted, T. H. TERRY, L. P. STEPHENS, A. GILHAM, T. J. FLETCHER, BOYISTON McGOLDRICK, L. E. SCHEEN, L. M. HOWARD, M. A. COCKERHAM, A. S. PERRY, J. E. JENNIGAN, HENRY HIGHTOWER, M. H. BOSLEY, W. B. CLARK, W. H. SCHEEN, O. T. WEBB, E. S. STOTHART, J. D. HARPER, MARX JACKSON, J. C. EGAN, SAM PINCUS, T. J. BRITAIN, I. A. JONES, PAUL LISSO, JR., J. C. PUGH. On motion, duly seconded, MAJOR JOHN NARSTON, ED LISSO and CAT. SELBY were appointed a committee to confer with a committee from town council relative to the above petition.
