March 15, 1884   Coushatta Citizen March 15, 1884
                         ASSESSOR'S NOTICE
   Having received the appointment of Assessor for this parish, I hereby 
notify all tax payers of the parish that I will open the office for the 
purpose of assessing all taxable property on
                 TUESDAY, FEB. 12TH 1884
in the town of Coushatta, La., and also for the purpose of registering all 
legal voters of the parish. I will also be at the following places for the 
purpose of assessing and registering, viz:

   Ward No. 1  -- At Coushatta from Feb.12th to March 14th
   Ward No. 2  -- At Boone's Grange, Friday, March 21st
   Ward No. 3  -- Bethel Church, Thursday, March 28th
   Ward No. 4  -- Telegram Plantation, Tuesday, March 18th
   Ward No. 5  -- Kenilworth Plantation, Tuesday, March 25th
   I respectfully request all taxpayers and voters to meet and furnish me with 
a full and correct description of their property subject to assessment.
