She was a loving and beloved mother and grandmother who was so generous with her love and her time. She will be truly missed by many. She was born Feb. 18, 1918 in Red River Parish to ETTA MAE ADKINS and BONNIE WOOD RALEY. She resided in Red River, all of her life. She retired from Southern Bell Telephone Co. in 1977, where she had been employed since 1950. She was a decade longs member of the First Baptist Church in Coushatta. She is survived by her daughter, MARY ANN LUCIUS and husband, DAN, of Baytown.; daughter-in-law, NELDA RIGDON LOFTIN of Minden, LA.; step-children, DONNA SAVELL and husband, LLOYD, of Negreet, LA., SANDRA LAMBERT of Many, LA., and MERRILL CUMMINGS JR. and wife, LINDA, of Many, La.; grandchildren, SHAWNE BARRON and husband, ANDY of Temple, TX., LEAH LUCIUS of Dallas, TX., ERIC LUCIUS and wife, LORI of Baytown, TX., and GREG LOFTIN and wife STEPHANIE of Minden, LA.; step-grandchildren, SONYA TOWNSEND and her husband, BRAD, LLOYD SAVELL JR., CHRIS BRADLEY and JESSE LAMBERT, and AMY WISE and JEFF CUMMINGS; sister, PAULINE DODD of Springtown, TX.; brothers, EARL RALEY and wife, FRANCES of Shreveport, LA., and HARLEY RALEY and wife, ANITA, of Bossier City, LA.; sisters-in-law, ILA WOODARD, OPAL LOFTIN, and SHIRLEY LOFTIN; brother-in- law, WILLY CUMMINGS; special niece, DIANA FAYE RALEY PITTMAN; and numerous other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, stepfather, LAWRENCE L. RALEY; brother, CASTON RALEY; son, JAMES BONNIE LOFTIN; and husbands, JAMES GUTHRIE LOFTIN and WILEY CUMMINGS. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, 2003, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home with burial in Holley Springs Cemetery in Martin Community, LA.
