   COUSHATTA, LA. -- Services for MERCE BRITTAN CUMMINGS, 84, will be held at 
2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 10, 2000, at Rockett-Nettles Funeral Home Chapel. 
Officiating will be BRO. BILL HINES. Burial will follow in HOlley Springs 
Cemetery under the direction of Rockett-Nettles Funeral Home of Coushatta.
   MR. CUMMINGS died on Jan. 8, 2000. He was born on Aug. 12, 1915 in Red 
River Parish. He was preceded in death by his parents, MR. and MRS. J. P. 
CUMMINGS; and one brother, WILEY CUMMINGS.
   He is survived by one brother, WILLIE CUMMINGS of Coushatta; one sister, 
ILA WOODARD of Cotton Valley; and numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces, 
and great nephews, great-great nieces and great-great nephews.
