MIKE WELCH officiating, assisted by the REV. BILLY PIERCE. Interment will follow at Martin Cemetery in Martin. GRANNY DOYAL, age 99, passed peacefully from this life at 1:45 p.m. June 12, 2008, at Live Oaks Nursing Facility in Shreveport after a short illness. She was a resident of Southwest Gardens in Shreveport. GRANNY was born Feb. 25, 1909 in Red River Parish to RANDOLPH and DEBORAH MOSELY. She was preceded in death by her husband, W. A. "BILL" DOYAL; one son, SAMMY DOYAL; one daughter, JEAN LEON; one step-granddaughter, KATHY GUIN; and two sons-in-law, CECIL EDMISTON and C. L. "BUNK" BREWTON, JR. She is survived by three sons, BILLY DOYAL and wife, LOU of Coushatta; RAYMOND DOYAL and wife INEZ, of Blanchard; and BOBBY DOYAL and wife, VIRGINIA, of Shreveport; three daughters, SANDRA EDMISTON BREWTON of Shreveport; SHIRLEY BELGARD and husband, EARL, of Pineville; and EDNA WALDEN and husband, DAVE, of Franklin, Ky.; one daughter-in-law, REBA DOYAL of Shreveport; and one son-in- law, MICHAEL J. LEON of Shreveport. She is also survived by 23 grandchhildren 38 great grandchildren, 15 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. GRANNY was loved in each community in which she lived and visited. She touched the llive of many in her 99 years, leaving the mark of her spirit and strength in everyone she encountered. She was a fan of the Atlanta Braves baseball team and an avid read, who enjoyed her life and valued her family above all else. Pallbearers will be RUSTY DOYAL, KENNETH DOYAL, CECIL EDMISTON, MICHAEL G. LEON, TIM BELGARD and JEFF WALDEN.
