JOHN ALTON DUPREE, 79, of Goldonna, were held at 2 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 9, 1992, at Goldonna Baptist Church, with the REV. JEFF HATHORN, assisted by the REV. DOYLE McGREW, officiating. Burial was in Clear Springs Cemetery. MR. DUPREE passed away at 1:29 p.m. Tuesday, January 7, 1992 at the VA Medical Center following a lengthy illness. He was a native of Martin, and had lived in Goldonna since 1947. MR. DUPREE was a retired teacher and coach at Goldonna High School. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of Goldonna Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, MRS. GERTRUDE DUPREE of Goldonna; two sons and their wives, JOHN and FRANCES B. DUPREE, JR. of Goldonna, ROY S. and LINDA H. DUPREE of Goldonna; three sisters, VALERIE SLEDGE of Hammond, AGATHA McGEE of Shreveport, VIRGINIA POUNCY of Many; three brothers, R. C. DUPREE, SR. of Monroe; M. B. DUPREE, SR. of Coushatta, and D.I. DUPREE of Coushatta, and five grandsons. Nephews served as pallbearers. Services were under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Coushatta.
